With the Meetric integration, you can automatically send AI-generated meeting summaries from Meetric to Pipedrive. Each summary is added as a Note on the person (contact) and, when possible, also linked to the relevant Deal. Optionally, Meetric can create a Pipedrive Activity so your team can see the meeting in the activity timeline.
Getting Started
Prerequisites
Access: Admin or user access in Pipedrive to authorize apps via OAuth.
Permissions: Access to Meetric with permission to manage integrations.
Best Practice: Ensure people in Pipedrive have an email (preferred) or phone set for reliable matching.
Connect Pipedrive and Meetric
In Meetric, go to Settings → Integrations → Pipedrive.
Click Connect. You will be redirected to Pipedrive.
Approve Permissions: Log in and allow Meetric to create notes and activities.
Confirm: Once redirected back, Meetric will show as Connected.
If you have multiple Pipedrive accounts, make sure you authorize the correct one.
How it Works
The Workflow
Process: After your meeting ends, Meetric generates an AI summary.
Matching: Meetric matches participants to Pipedrive Contacts.
Creation: A Note (and optionally an Activity) is created in Pipedrive.
Timing: Syncing usually happens within a few minutes of the meeting's conclusion.
What is Created in Pipedrive?
A) Pipedrive Note (HTML)
Includes meeting name, participant list, a link to the Meetric recording/transcript, manual notes, and the full AI summary.
B) Pipedrive Activity (Optional)
If your Meetric "conversation type" matches an existing Pipedrive Activity Type name, Meetric creates an activity with:
Subject: Meeting name.
Description: The AI summary content.
Details: Linked to person/deal, includes duration and due date (meeting end time).
Important:
If the Activity Type cannot be found (or Pipedrive permissions don’t allow activity creation), Meetric will still create the Note — but may skip the Activity.
Using the Integration
Where to find the summary
On a Person: Open the Person record → Notes section (or timeline).
On a Deal: Open the Deal record → Notes section.
Activity: Open the Person or Deal → Activities tab/timeline.
Data Mapping
Person (Contact) Matching
Primary (Email): Meetric performs a search in Pipedrive based on the participant's email address.
Fallback (Phone): If no email match is found, Meetric searches for a matching phone number.
If no person is found: Meetric can create a new Person in Pipedrive using:
Name (from the Meetric participant)
Email (if available)
Phone (if available)
Best Practice: Email matching is the most reliable method. Ensure your Pipedrive People have correct email addresses for the best results.
Note Linking (Person + Deal)
Person Linking: The note is always linked to the matched Person record.
Deal Linking: 1. If the meeting is already connected to a Pipedrive deal within Meetric, Meetric links the note directly to that deal. 2. Otherwise, Meetric attempts to link the note to the person’s most recently created deal (if any exist).
Activity Type Mapping (Important)
For Meetric to successfully create an activity in Pipedrive, the naming must match exactly:
Logic: Meetric uses your meeting’s “conversation type” name (e.g., "Demo" or "Discovery Call").
Requirement: If a Pipedrive Activity Type exists with the exact same name, Meetric will use it to create the activity.
Fallback: If no match exists, Meetric will skip creating the Activity, but the Note will still be created and linked as usual.
Troubleshooting
Problem: “I’m connected, but no note appears”
Check these in order:
Can a participant be matched? At least one receiver must match a Pipedrive Person by email or phone. If the receiver has neither, Meetric cannot perform the match.
Processing Time: The summary may still be processing. Wait a few minutes and refresh the Person or Deal page in Pipedrive.
Problem: “Note is on Person but not on Deal”
Most common causes:
The person has no active or historical deals in Pipedrive.
The meeting wasn’t linked to a specific deal, so Meetric couldn’t confidently attach it.
What to check: Open the Person record and verify there is an associated Deal. If multiple deals exist, Meetric typically attaches to the newest one.
Problem: “Activity is missing”
Most common causes:
No Match: There is no Pipedrive Activity Type that matches your Meetric "conversation type" name exactly.
Permissions: Your Pipedrive account may have insufficient permissions to create activities.
Fix: Create or rename an Activity Type in Pipedrive to match your Meetric conversation type, then reconnect Pipedrive to ensure all permissions are granted.
Problem: “Wrong person matched”
Cause: This is usually due to duplicate people or shared phone numbers in Pipedrive.
Fix: Ensure email and phone values are unique where possible and prioritize email-based matching for the highest accuracy.
Problem: “It worked before, now it stopped”
Cause: The most common cause is that the OAuth access token has expired or been revoked.
Fix: Simply Disconnect and then Reconnect Pipedrive within your Meetric settings.
What to send to Support (for fastest resolution)
If you still need help, please provide our support team with:
The Meetric session link (or session ID).
The Presenter’s email.
1–2 participant emails/phones expected to match Pipedrive.
Links to the Pipedrive Person/Deal where you expected the note/activity.
Screenshots of what you see in Pipedrive (optional but very helpful).
Disconnecting
If you need to stop the sync between Meetric and Pipedrive, follow these steps:
In Meetric: Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Pipedrive.
Disconnect: Click the Disconnect button to revoke access.
Historical Data:
Any notes or activities already created in Pipedrive will remain as historical records; they will not be deleted if you disconnect the integration.
Security & Privacy
We prioritize the safety of your data with industry-standard protocols:
OAuth 2.0 Authentication: Meetric uses OAuth to connect to Pipedrive, meaning we never see or store your Pipedrive password.
Encrypted Data Transfer: All communication between Meetric and Pipedrive is encrypted using HTTPS to ensure your data is protected in transit.
Secure Token Storage: Your access tokens are encrypted and stored securely within our infrastructure.
Data Sovereignty: Pipedrive only receives the summary text and a link back to Meetric. Your actual meeting recordings and transcripts stay securely stored in Meetric and are never sent to Pipedrive.
